Conditioned autologous plasma treatment is very well accepted. General, as well as local side effects are very rare. Donor and recipient of plasma is the same person. Blood is not in contact with any heterogeneous material, therefore plasma cannot be contaminated or spoiled. Plasma (enriched by activated thrombocytes with growth and anti-inflammatory factors) is never deep-frozen and is applied only fresh (few minutes after blood taking).

Complications are supposed to be very rare. However, patients may suffer from:

  • Infection in the operated area (inflammation of soft tissues, joints, etc.)
  • Irritation or injury of nerves, blood vessels, tendons, ligaments and muscles in the operated area
  • Inflammation or thrombosis of the upper extremity veins after blood taking
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
